Produced by an international team of mathematics faculty and doctoral students, our report Preserving Our Humanity, Supporting Our Students: Doctoral Advising in Mathematics responds to challenges for doctoral advising caused by generative AI. We offer recommendations, resources, context, and guidance for program leaders, advisors, and students. We encourage faculty and students to share this report with their colleagues and peers, in the hope that it will serve as a foundation for positive discussions and effective policies.
