Recommendations

The Working Groups of the AHM offer policy recommendations that protect mathematicians from the threat of artificial intelligence. In the long term, we will offer full sets of recommendations for journals, departments, and graduate and undergraduate teaching. The recommendations on doctoral advising and on LLM use within publication venues are our first.

Our structure for issuing recommendations:

Each working group may independently publish recommendations on this page under its own name. Recommendations in this stage reflect the understanding of that individual working group, rather than the general membership of the AHM. At the request of the working group, recommendations may then be submitted to the general membership for endorsement.
